Yesterday was the last day of school. I took the afternoon off and picked up The Boy. We went to the ice cream parlor where I ate my ice cream and the leftover half of his ice cream. Whoever heard of a 9 year old who didn't finish all of his ice cream? Strange child.
Anyway, I am so jealous of the time off that he has. 3 months without homework. 3 months of playing everyday. His babysitter has a swimming pool, so he even gets 3 months of daily water fun.

Meanwhile, I have 3 months of working full time PLUS 3 months of lawnmowing, weed eating, pond cleaning, grass sowing, driveway sweeping, de-ticking of dogs, etc. Being a grown up really bites. It's a good thing there are a few perks to make it a little more fair.
No. I'm not explaining the perks to you. If you don't already know what they are, then you're beyond my help.
I'd wish you a Happy Memorial Day weekend, but that seems a bit morbid. Woo Hoo. Have fun remembering the deaths of all the people you love. Jeesh. No wonder people drink a lot this weekend.
